WCC believes in ministering to the needs of every age group, including our littlest members.  While parents enjoy the adult services, they can rest assured that their babies are receiving personal care in a safe and nurturing environment. Our trained volunteers create a positive church experience that introduces infants and toddlers to a loving heavenly father. Nursery services coincide with all of our regular Sunday and mid-week service.

Across from our main nursery counter, we have a Mother's Room where parents can be a part of the service while attending to their children.

Nursery Curriculum Overview

FOUNDATIONAL TRUTHS

  • God Made Me
  • God Loves Me
  • God Is with Me

FEATURES

  • Repetition -- Each part of The Big God Story will be repeated two weeks in a row, but will utilize different storytelling techniques and small group activities.
  • Interactive -- Children will use their senses to explore God's Word through a variety of touch, see, listen, and move activities and visuals.
  • Chronological -- Follows The Big God Story meta-narrative
  • Remember & Celebrate -- This is a special Sunday that happens once every 13 weeks. We will remember the three foundational truths and celebrate who God is.
  • Worship -- Kids will worship through music (resources for this music will be available to you).
  • Environments -- Lessons are not written in any one of the 10 environments, but the parent components will land heavily on the environments and how to create them in the home. These coincide with the environments being taught in KidQuest and FirstLook.

PARENTING COMPONENTS

  • HomeFront Weekly (emailed to you, if you sign up for our HomeFront Weekly Nursery Email).
  • Child development tips for parents that align with spiritual formation.
